Crystallization
CHEM's Crystallization technology ensures and paves
the way for generation of high purity crystalline
products for industries.
Crystallization refers to the formation of solid
crystals from a homogeneous solution. It is
essentially a solid-liquid separation technique and
a very important one at that.
Crystallization from liquid solutions is the most
important separation operation in industries
especially in the pharmaceutical and fine chemicals,
whereas crystallization from melt is a very powerful
separation process for the purification of organic
compounds up to very high purity grade, that is >
99.99%. Furthermore precipitation is suitable to
produce solid products of uniform and small size.
Crystals may be organic, inorganic, or biological in
origin and require ever greater control of their
characteristics and quality. The industrial
crystallization research by Chem Process is
similarly broad, ranging from determination of
crystallization kinetics to computational fluid
mechanics and scale-up. With a controlled level of
purity and yield, crystallization may occur during
the concentration of a solution, by the reaction of
chemicals or by cooling of saturated solutions.
Chem Process designs and manufactures the following types of
Crystallizers for crystallization of diverse
products:
