Chem Process Crystallisers are used to crystallise the salts and recover them from its mother liquor in various industries like Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Agro-chemicals, Dyes, Dyes Intermediates, Synthetic Yarn, etc. The product range includes Single / Multi-Stage Crystallisers for extracting useful chemicals (viz. Sodium Sulphate, Calcium Sulphate, Sodium Chloride, Calcium Chloride, Sodium Thiosulphate, Aluminium Chloride, Magnesium Chloride, Sodium Acetate, etc.) from process solutions and effluents.

The design and operation of the crystallizers are difficult tasks since the crystallization process has to produce crystals having the required purity, size distribution and habit. Moreover complex phenomena occur simultaneously during the crystallization operation, such as nucleation, crystal growth and crystal breakage and agglomeration. For these reasons the design and operation of a crystallizer has been considered more an art than a science. Our research projects at our in-house test laboratory concentrates on developing new knowledge and tools for industrial use. These are aimed at controlling the particle characteristics of bulk materials produced in agitated suspensions by crystallization and precipitation. Physical characteristics as crystal size, shape and structure are important industrially in determining both downstream processing performance and product quality. Chem Process continues to develop crystallization solutions as per requirement with due investments in research and testing of complex liquids and solutions.

Evaporators and Crystallizers supplied by CHEM Process are working very efficiently in numerous plants with varied applications. Energy conservation is as important in the design of evaporative crystallizers as in the case of any non-crystallizing evaporator. Both Draft Tube Baffle and Forced Circulation Crystallizers are frequently built as multiple effect or recompression type.
