Drying is a common operation required for producing dry powdery or crystalline product from slurry/ wet solids/ homogeneous solution. This improves storage life of products in many applications and it also reduces transportation costs. In food, pharmaceuticals and many chemical industries it is mainly used for longer self life. Products that are dried range from organic pigments to proteins, as well as minerals to dairy products. The different kind of dryers are used depending on the various applications. Type of Dryers:

• AGITATED THIN FILM DRYER: It is mainly used for Solutions, Dilatents, Cohesive Paste. Final output from the Dryer will be Free Flowing, Dustless, Wettable or Lump,

• PADDLE DRYER: It is mainly used for Granuals/ Powder. Final Output of Dryer will be Granular, Dustless, Free Flow or Fine.

• TRAY DRYER: It is mainly used for Solutions, Thixotrop and Dilatents. Final Output of Dryer will be Lump/ Cake.

• SPRAY DRYER: It is mainly used for Solutions, Thixotrop and Dilatents. Final output from the Dryer will be Coated, Agglom, Wettable, Granular, Dustless, Free Flow or Fine.

• FLUID BED DRYER: It is mainly used for Granuels and Powder. Final output from the Dryer will be Coated, Agglom, Wettable, Granular, Dustless or Free Flow.

• SPIN FLASH DRYER: It is mainly used for Dilatents, Cohesive and Friable. Final output will be Free Flow or Fine.
